Easy No Tahini Hummus
Hummus is delicious and nutritious. It is a great dip for vegetables and whole grain chips, and can also be used as healthy spread for wraps and sandwiches. Making hummus at home is quick, easy and more affordable, with the exception of tahini. Tahini is a key ingredient when making traditional hummus but it is also expensive and not something you always have in your pantry. So here is our quick, easy and tahini-less hummus recipe.

No-Tahini Hummus Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked garbanzo beans*, or 1 can
- 3 tbsp. water
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 tsp. minced garlic
- 1/3 tsp. salt
How to Make Easy Hummus
1. Place all ingredients in food processor. Process until smooth and creamy. If needed, additional water will thin out the hummus.
2. Store covered in the refrigerator.
*We only cook with dried garbanzo beans in our kitchen and to make cooking with dried beans as convenient as cooking with canned ones we prepare large batches and then freeze them in smaller portion sizes.
