Tip for cooking garbanzo beans: Cooking garbanzo beans do not have to be a daunting task. There are several easy ways of cooking garbanzo beans being touted today. One of which is the slow cooker method. Simply add the amount of water listed on the package with ¼ teaspoon of baking soda (to help soften the beans) and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or on high for 4 hours.
