Hard White Wheat Field Map

Date seeded: 04-23-2023
Date harvested: 08-19-2023
Rainfall: 16.5 inches
Ecstatic to share the update on our 2023 Hard White Wheat harvest! As a Spring wheat, planted in April, the hard white wheat encountered a moderate amount of rainfall. Remarkably, despite the cold and dry conditions during Spring, the crop has delivered impressive protein levels and test weight. Another testament to the resilience and quality of our harvest this year.

Grown with you in mind

Palouse Brand is a 5th generation, family-owned and vertically integrated farm that grows, cleans, processes, packages and ships premium legumes and grains directly to consumers. We grow our own products in Eastern Washington and provide information like field location, crop photos and harvest dates. We work hard to include our customers in every aspect of our farm to table process.

Beyond our passion for farming, we value helping people live healthier. We strive to support our customers’ pursuit of health by providing premium nutrient-rich products, transparency, recipes, guides, and five star customer service.

Starts in the field

Mike has been with the farm since 2004. Born and raised in Pullman, he has wanted to be a farmer ever since he can remember. He and his wife, Alyssa are raising two young boys who are just as excited about farming as their dad. He loves having his boys come help him in the field and is teaching them all the ins and outs of the equipment. His youngest son is getting first hand experience, negotiating seed prices with Kevin to start his own chickpea crop in their garden at home.

There is never a dull moment working on the farm. When it’s not harvest season, Mike enjoys seeding in the Spring and the urgency of Fall work. He loves the challenges and different tasks that each day brings and absolutely never turns down the opportunity to drive a tractor. The most rewarding part of his job is watching and tending to the crops to bring fresh, dry, shelf stable foods to our consumers.
