2021 Hard Red Winter Wheat Berries

Our family has been farming on the Palouse for 5 generations. Kevin and Sara Mader saw a need to connect people to their food and started Palouse Brand. Palouse Brand embodies farm to table as we grow, clean, process, and package every Palouse Brand bag. Here is the inside look at how your wheat berries got to your kitchen, meet members of our team, watch the wheat grow and see where it was grown. We hope you enjoy your wheat berries.

- the Mader family

Mike has been with the farm for eighteen years. Born and raised in Pullman, WA he has wanted to be a farmer ever since he can remember. He married his wife Alyssa eight years ago and they added two sons to their family in 2014 and 2017. Mike enjoys seeding in the spring and the urgency of fall work. He loves the challenges and different tasks that every day brings as well as that there is never a dull moment. He will never turn down an opportunity to drive a tractor. He feels that watching and helping the crops grow is the most rewarding part of his job.

Ruby has worked packaging your wheat berries and legumes for two years. Originally from San Bernardino, she looks forward to growing with the company for many more years. She loves that her job is always different and that she can work at her own pace. She also really appreciates the family dynamic of the Palouse Brand.
