Additional Sizes 25 LB Bulk Bag

This 25 pound bag of Clear Creek Red Lentils is sourced from an Idaho family farm as we work to bring nutrient rich ingredients from the Pacific Northwest to your tables. Our 25 pound option is the best value per ounce and if stored correctly can be kept for at least 3 years.

Clear Creek Red Lentils have a bright red-orange color, a mellow, sweet flavor and can puree into the perfect creamy blend. Cooking dried red lentils doesn’t require any prior soaking and can take as little as fifteen minutes from start to finish. Dishes like curried red lentils, red lentil dal, and a variety of soups become quick meals in a pinch.

How to Cook Red Lentils

1 Cup Dry Red Lentils

3 Cups Water

Rinse the lentils, add 3 cups of water to a pot, bring water to a rolling boil, add lentils, then simmer for 15-20 minutes or to desired tenderness. Drain well.

HOW TO SPROUT RED LENTILS

1 Cup Dry Red Lentils

Rinse lentils in cold water, then drain a total of three times. Transfer drained lentils to a 1 quart glass jar and cover lentils with cold water. Cover the jar with a paper towel and secure with a rubber band then let sit 12 hours.

Drain lentils and re-cover, letting sit at room temperature. Rinse and drain the lentils 1-2 times daily until sprouted.

Red Lentil Soup with Lemon Recipe

This red lentil soup is smooth and creamy with just a hint of spice. While this soup may be simple, it hits all the flavor notes. The touch of fresh lemon juice as a garnish is not a step to skip. The lemon juice brightens up the thick and creamy soup in a way you’re sure to love.
