Palouse Brand's small brown lentils in the Pardina Lentil variety are packaged in these 25 pound emergency, long-term storage buckets. These 3.5 gallon buckets offer a compact design for optimal storage and have a special rubber gasket lid that will reseal and continue to provide an air-tight environment for these lentils. We grow our Brown Lentils on our 125 year old farm, harvest them, triple clean and package them to be sent directly to our customers. Palouse Brand only offers the most current year's crop continuing to ensure the freshness of the product you receive.

Our Brown Lentils may be small but they are packed with rich nutrients and proteins. Their high protein count makes them an amazing alternate protein source for vegetarian and vegan recipes. Brown lentils are so versatile that in addition to being that alternate protein source, they are also great to use as an ingredient in baked goods. These lentils will make excellent salads, soups, carrot cake, brownies, even ice cream. Our family takes pride in offering food safe certifications on our products and our facilities are audited annually by multiple agencies to ensure that we are providing our customers with the most beautiful, high quality, and authentic farm to table products.

Bucket color may vary between green and white.

*Due to the size and dimensions, buckets shipped to Alaska and Hawaii, and U.S. territories will be charged a flat rate shipping fee at checkout. This only includes our buckets, all other products ship for free. **This product is delivered to your home via UPS Ground in 5-7 business days.

Date seeded: 05-10-2023
Date harvested: 09-01-2023
Rainfall: 16.5 inches

Thrilled to announce the arrival of our 2023 Brown Lentil harvest for you to enjoy. This year, we experienced a moderate amount of rainfall. The lentil crop struggled early on, not getting enough rain when the plants needed it most, however late Summer rains came through for the lentils giving good quality on what plants survived through Spring.

Grown with you in mind

Palouse Brand is a 5th generation, family-owned and vertically integrated farm that grows, cleans, processes, packages and ships premium legumes and grains directly to consumers. We grow our own products in Eastern Washington and provide information like field location, crop photos and harvest dates. We work hard to include our customers in every aspect of our farm to table process.

Beyond our passion for farming, we value helping people live healthier. We strive to support our customers’ pursuit of health by providing premium nutrient-rich products, transparency, recipes, guides, and five star customer service.

Starts in the field

Chuck has worked at the farm as our resident mechanic since 1981. Born and raised in Pullman, he and his wife have also raised their two sons here and are now getting to enjoy time with their grandchildren. Over the many years, they have loved the family centered environment of the farm, becoming family themselves.

His deep love of farming brought him to work on our farm all those years ago and he has always looked forward to the harvest season, where he can see the year’s hard work come to fruition. He enjoys the variety of projects he does throughout the ear and knowing he is an integral part of keeping the farm running smoothly.

Ruby has been working on the Palouse Brand team since the Spring of 2020. She brings an electric energy to every work day and loves to keep things exciting with all her favorite songs to sing and dance along with. Outside of work, Ruby enjoys getting to spend time with her family especially in the Summer when she can spend time in the pool with her nieces and nephews.

Ruby loves the opportunity to learn and test new ways to help our warehouses run more efficiently. Her favorite aspect of her job is getting to teach new employees how to operate all our equipment, like our forklift and sewing machines. Since joining our team, she has become an essential part of many of our processes and she is excited to continue to build her future with Palouse Brand.
